Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila

The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) is a government funded, tuition-free local university located within the historic walled area of Intramuros in Manila, Philippines. It was established on June 19, 1965, and opened to 556 scholars on July 17, 1967, all of whom came from Manila's top ten percent of high school graduates.

PLM is the first tertiary-level institution in the country to provide tuition-free education; the first university in the country to be sponsored exclusively by a city government; and the first university in the country to have its official name in Filipino. The Board of Regents, PLM's highest decision-making body, has the power to award diplomas, degrees, and titles to students who have successfully completed their academic programs, as well as to validate their graduation.
